After a
wonderful, long journey through Spain
and Portugal
we ended up here in Lagoa do Cao.
"We" are
Maurice and Sandra and our children Robin and Rowan.
After
working and living numerous of years in Prague and Budapest, we could not
settle back again in Holland, nothing wrong with the country, but the freedom
to live and work were you might choose is challenging and attractive.At the
beginning of the year 2006 we started our journey by car and caravan, whilst in
Holland our
belongings were stored.
Spain was nice as was the Algarve, but
both showed too much concrete, to little nature and far to many people. Not
really a place to live all year around. De inlands are dry and abandoned, the
north of Portugal
is beautiful, but outside the shorter summer season to wet and cold.
The coastal
area above Lisbon
sticks out, to our opinion! This accounts for nature, culture, the inhabitants,
the possibilities and resources, a large diversity and through the year a
pleasant climate.
Short to
say: An ideal spot to start up Casa Cantiga and welcome you as our guests.
